Enhancement Goblin Shaman

Enhancement Goblin – My First Horde Character

Here I go again. This time I’m leveling another enhancement Shaman on the horde side, and again without the benefit of Heirloom gear. Actually, I had enough points on my paladin on the Alliance side that was able to purchase one Venerable Mass of McGowan.

Yes, I know there is the chest and shoulder piece that give me extra XP, but I so love the dps this amazing mace can produce, and it has served me well keeping me at the top of the dps meters on just about every random dungeon group I have been in. The only time I would lose the dps race is when I was grouped with someone in full heirloom gear. Considering I am usually in greens well below my current level, I am extremely pleased with my performance.

Sadly, I only had enough points for the one Venerable Mass of McGowan, and I was in no mood to run any more dungeons with my tank to get the necessary points for a second Venerable Mass of McGowan.

AOE Prot Pally Leveling

AOE Prot Pally Leveling in Outland from 58-68…

… is fairly easy (I’m currently at 73) with tons of melee type mobs, but it does become a bit of a challenge on the last 2 levels. Not because it gets harder, but because the xp returns diminish over time, and it takes a greater number of quests to level up.

I was thinking to myself the other day that it seems to be taking a long time to level. Duh! Maybe it’s because the last 2 characters I had leveled to 80 had a full set of BOA gear? LOL!

Seriously though, I was so happy to finally reach Outland at level 58. I am very proficient at leveling in Outland and set my goal to reach 68 as soon as possible so that I could move on to Northrend.

The first 7-8 levels flew by quickly, but reaching level 68 really tested my patience and I found myself having completed every single quest in Nagrand (my favorite place in Outland) with about 6 bars left to go. Continue reading

A New Beginning

So I’m leveling a character on a new server where my RL friends are. The prospect of abandoning my empire of six 80s and starting from scratch on a completely new realm with no gold, no BOA gear, no free enchants, pots, inscriptions, gems, nothing… was quite a daunting proposition to say the least. But life on Ysondre’s tiny pop-server offered only rare opportunities to experience end-game content, especially for one with Hawaiian roots that didn’t jive with an East coast raid schedule.

Change was in order.

My RL friends and I decided to roll paladins each taking the role of tank, healer and me as dps. We were hoping to level together running random dungeons. It started out great as far as the play mechanics went and being able to play with RL friends, but we quickly realized how very little xp we were getting in the dungeons. It took about 6-7 SM GY runs just to level once! And it gets old real fast. Lame.

WoW Gold Making Tips – Gold Making Professions

WoW Gold Making Tips – Leverage Gold Making Professions for HUGE Profits

It’s no surprise that if you want to fully enjoy World of Warcraft you need GOLD, and lots of it. A quick and easy method is simply to pick professions that are gold making professions, and not sinkholes. There are eleven main professions to choose from, but the ones you want are known as “gathering” professions.

The two best gold making professions in World of Warcraft are Mining and Herbalism. Skinning is NOT a good choice because it is too time-consuming to kill, loot and skin mobs for their leather. Also, there is a steadier demand by “crafting” professions for herbs, ore and bars.
